The People of the Abyss

Author(s): Jack London

Sociology & Anthroplology

It is hard to remember nowadays, but some of the worst slums in the world were located in what we now called 'the developed world'. London's slums were the worst of the worst. There were very few first-hand accounts of life in these slums when Jack London decided to spend a couple of months there to gather material for this book. It is a bitter condemnation of callous capitalism.

We publish the world's books. We have the largest collection of classics, and we believe that they are the highest quality, too. Don't talk our word for it, peek inside  and you'll see why we brag.
